THE Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) has decided to implement a ‘Call for Topics’, giving conference delegates the opportunity to put forth any ideas or requests on topics they would like to be discussed in the upcoming ACTE event in Johannesburg this November. This decision for a ‘Call for Topics’ comes after a small percentage of the delegates who rated an ACTE event recently hosted in Johannesburg on September 18, claimed that some of the travel management aspects discussed at the conference had been covered in previous events. Despite this, the event was nonetheless rated by 99.7% of attendees as having fully met their expectations, with the majority of those surveyed saying that they would be attending future events. Agents with ideas for the November ACTE event have been requested by the Association to contact the ACTE SA office, either by email or telephonically. According to media releases, the Association also hosted a launch in Cape Town on September 19 and due to its huge success expects to hold future events in Cape Town next year. (Heather Ruddock)
