Celebrity Cruises has signed a letter of intent for a new class of vessel. The two 2 900-guest ships will be 300 metres long and 37 metres wide and are designed to offer small-ship itineraries with large ship amenities.
“The addition of these vessels to our fleet delivers on our long-term strategic plan of moderate capacity growth,” said Richard D. Fain, chairman and ceo of Royal Caribbean Cruises.
The company expects to take delivery of the first ship in late 2018, with the second vessel delivered in early 2020.
