Velvet Sky chairman, Stephen Nthite has confirmed plans to expand regionally, reports Business Report. Nthite was speaking at the launch of the airline’s Johannesburg-Polokwane service.
He was quoted saying that the airline was looking to start its regional expansion with flights to Mozambique but that it would be dependent on which country was quickest to finalise agreements with the airline. He said the airline was also considering partnerships with national airlines.
Should regional services be launched they will fit the airline’s low-cost model.
*We would like to hear your thoughts. Would you support the airline should it offer low-cost travel between South African and other regional countries? Let us know by leaving your comments.
