Virgin to operate new service to Australia

VIRGIN Atlantic is to operate a new service between the UK and Australia. Qantas chief financial office, Peter Gregg, said Virgin will be competing against 17 airlines, including Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Airlines and Air New Zealand, among others, making Virgin Atlantic the 21st carrier between the UK and Australia. Qantas has welcomed the new service since it competes with the above airlines every day. (Natalia Thomson)
