Whisky tastings at Joburg restaurant

ONE of Johannesburg’s newest restaurants, Southbay Restaurant in Bryanston, has launched regular whisky tastings. Visitors will spend the evening listening to a whisky expert impart knowledge on a particular brand and how different types of whiskies are made. There is also an opportunity to taste these and pair them with food or cigars. The on-site whisky bar offers a range of international single malt and blended whisky brands. Southbay can accommodate up to 100 people in the main restaurant, which also offers an outside dining area, as well as 40 people in the whisky bar. (Natalia Thomson)
