WTM improves transport links

ORGANISERS of World Travel Market -WTM (November 10-13), Reed Travel Exhibitions, have made further strides to make travel to the leading global industry event at London’s ExCeL even easier. Preferential online rates and a speedy booking system are offered for flights, hotels and local travel in London. With regards to flights, some of the world’s leading airline carriers have offered preferential fares to WTM delegates. An example is flying with Iberia from Johannesburg via Madrid and on to Gatwick or Heathrow for around R6 000. More than 20 recommended hotels with preferential rates are also offered online to delegates in conjunction with accommodation specialists Expotel, situated less than 40 minutes away from the venue. There are also a number of three and four star hotels offered close to ExCeL with prices from £120 (R1 404) for a single room. Trains serving the venue will now run every two and a half minutes at peak times – increasing the frequency of service by 30 seconds on last year’s peak time operation. There will also be a new four-day WTM Visitor Travelcard, in addition to the three-day and seven day cards for travel on London Underground, Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and London Buses on Zones 1-6. Reed Travel Services (RTS) has been working with a wide variety of companies over the past months to bring the best and most convenient offers to delegates.
