Air India and Air Mauritius have expanded their codeshare to ease travel between India and South Africa and the Indian Ocean islands.

Under the revised agreement, the two carriers will place their designated codes on 17 routes connecting India, Mauritius, South Africa, Réunion and Madagascar, reports Infra from The Economic Times.

Air India will place its code on Air Mauritius-operated flights to and from Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Antananarivo.

Air Mauritius already has a codeshare on Air India-operated flights to and from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Goa.
