Air travel round-up: EK launches three Asia routes

Emirates will launch daily non-stop flights to Shenzhen from July 1, four weekly flights to Da Nang from June 2 and three weekly flights to Siem Reap from June 3.

Daily flights to Shenzhen will depart Dubai at 10h05, arriving in Shenzhen at 22h00. The return flight departs at 23h55, landing in Dubai at 03h40 the next day. Flight times have been scheduled to optimise connections to and from key destinations, including Kenya, Egypt and South Africa.

Flights to Da Nang will depart Dubai at on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and flights to Siem Reap will depart Dubai on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Both services will stop in Bangkok.

TK introduces Phnom Penh flights

Turkish Airlines will operate flights from Istanbul to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from December 10 with a stop in Bangkok.

Flights will depart Istanbul on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while flights from Phnom Penh to Istanbul will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

ET ups Manchester frequency

Ethiopian Airlines will introduce daily flights between Addis Ababa and Manchester, via Geneva, from July 3.

The new daily schedule, increased from five flights per week, will offer enhanced seamless connectivity for passengers across Africa, from destinations including Johannesburg, Zanzibar, Mombasa and the Seychelles, plus amazing safari destinations like Nairobi, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, Maun, Harare, Victoria Falls, and Lusaka.

Flight ET728 departs Addis Ababa at 00h45 and arrives in Manchester at 08h15, after a one-hour stop in Geneva.

The return flight ET729 departs Manchester at 18h30 and, following a one-hour stop in Geneva, arrives in Addis Ababa at 07h05 the following day.

Qatar expands Berlin service

From July 10, Qatar Airways will add three weekly flights to its Doha-Berlin route, increasing its services from 18 to 21 weekly.

QR079 departs Doha at 02h20 and arrives in Berlin at 07h25. The return flight QR080 departs Berlin at 09h40 and arrives in Doha at 16h20.

QR081 departs Doha at 08h55 and arrives in Berlin at 14h00. The return flight QR082 departs Berlin at 16h30 and arrives in Doha at 23h10.

QR083 departs Doha at 15h45 and arrives in Berlin at 20h50. The return flight QR084 departs Berlin at 22h30 and arrives in Doha at 05h10 the following day.
