Austrian Airlines has introduced a premium economy cabin on its 11 long-haul aircraft, following the successful upgrade of the fleet.
The new seats were produced specifically for the Lufthansa Group, and were supplied by aircraft seat manufacturer, ZIM. They have 97cm of leg-room, and have footrests, a fold-out table on the central armrest, and personal, broad armrests for every passenger. Every seat has a power outlet and a USB port.
Meals can be selected from a menu card and are served on china tableware. Every passenger will also receive an amenity kit, and have access to the in-flight entertainment system. Passengers will be allowed to check in two pieces of luggage, at no charge, with a maximum weight of 23kg each.
