British Airways has confirmed that it will resume flights to Israel from April 1.
The airline suspended all its Tel Aviv flights in October following volatility in the Israel-Palestine conflict, reports travelmole.com.
A smaller aircraft will be used initially as weak demand is expected for Israel flights.
“We’ve taken the commercial decision to move Tel Aviv to our short-haul network when we restart our flights,” the airline said.
“This aligns with other similar length flights we operate, and we’ll keep this decision under review.”
The flights will be operated by a single-aisle A321neo rather than the widebody aircraft used previously.
A 45-minute stop in Cyprus will allow a crew change to prevent overnight layovers in Tel Aviv due to security concerns.
