From big game to small fry

THE 'MV Illusive' - a 40-foot catamaran - was, until recently, used for the sole purpose of hunting down big game fish, just off the coast of Hout Bay in Cape Town. However, since the boat has docked at its new home in Simon's Town, the operation has expanded to include more leisurely pursuits such as birding, whale watching, seal watching, clay pigeon shooting and crayfish braais on deck.
Owner Lloyd Lewis says since he moved his operation to Simon's Town in False Bay, he has fewer limitations in his service provision and can custom-design trips according to the groups' needs.
He can accommodate maximum 10 people on a big game fishing trip - all equipment supplied - and maximum eight people on another excursion.
