Breaking news: Italy strikes causes flight cancellations

Italian air traffic controllers are due to take industrial action today (October 18), impacting flights within as well as to and from Italy. 

The traffic controllers will strike between 13h00 and 17h00.
EasyJet and Ryanair have cancelled flights to and from Italy today. Other airlines, such as Lufthansa, have advised that delays and cancellations are expected and have advised passengers whose flights are operating to arrive at the airport in good time.
SAA does not expect any flights to be affected.
