Car hire like you’ve never seen it before!

14 Mar 2022

February 2022 saw Woodford open its latest branch at Hilton Sandton in Sandton, Johannesburg – the first branch of its kind, and one that will bring car hire to South Africans in an unprecedented way.

Woodford Car Hire has always been a company driven by innovation. The company has grown to become the largest independent car rental company in the country and the best-rated car rental company overall, according to feedback aggregators – due, in no small part, to a commitment to understanding the needs of the customer and satisfying those needs via service and technology.

Following the lockdown, Woodford recognised that people don’t only require car hire when travelling via an airport and that the reasons for use vary, depending on need. Whether people are renting a car just for a weekend getaway, for a special occasion, or just for that extra space or hauling power for a day, customers want car hire that is accessible and convenient for them.

So Woodford asked itself: “Why not bring car hire to the people?”

Woodford’s branch at its head office in the commercial-industrial hub of Springfield, Durban was already established and accessible to customers, but the branch at Hilton Sandton is the herald for a new era in mobility.

The branch – located within the hotel – is at the heart of the business centre that is Sandton,  and gives both travellers and locals the opportunity to hire a car easily and conveniently, without being forced to rent for the duration of their stay or from a specific location.

Apart from being centrally located, the new branch makes the entire range available to customers, so whether someone needs a small car for the day because they’re in between vehicles or a large SUV for a week away at Hartbeespoort or Pilanesberg, anything is possible.

With more branches planned at multiple locations across the country, the possibilities extend even further. People can choose rentals that suit not only their lifestyle and need, but their schedule and location as well.
