CemAir introduces Red Class

From December 1, travellers looking for a seamless, stress-free travel experience can upgrade to CemAir’s Red Class.

“Red Class is a broad bouquet of services aimed at travellers that value comfort and convenience. It allows passengers to reduce their airport waiting and processing time to a minimum at all of the regular choke points – airport parking is replaced by a valet, check-in counters and bag drops are prioritised, airport security queues are fast-tracked and the aircraft boarding process is personalised,” says Shaniel Singh, Chief Commercial Officer of CemAir.

On board, passengers can enjoy additional leg-room and premium catering. Their disembarking process is expedited, with baggage delivered first. And for those arriving early at the airport, their wait is more pleasant with airport lounge access.

With new benefits for its premium-class travellers that save them time and ensure their journey is more enjoyable, upgrading to CemAir Red Class allows extra services that include*:

•         Check-in 20 minutes before departure

•         Extra leg-room

•         Fast-track security

•         Extra checked bag

•         Extra sports bag

•         Late-to-gate boarding

•         Private apron transfer

•         Valet parking at airports

•         Departure lounge access

•         Priority check-in

•         Expedited baggage return

•         Expedited disembarking

•         Premium catering

*Subject to availability

“For some passengers, pricing alone determines their travel choice. This often means they’re subjected to long queues, and high-density seating becomes their choice. However, there is a large market which values comfort and this market currently has limited travel options,” says Singh, adding that any ticket class booked with the airline can be upgraded to CemAir Red Class.

CemAir’s domestic expansion plans include more flights between the Garden Route and KwaZulu Natal and additional routes to and from East London and Gqeberha.

“Regionally, CemAir has route rights awarded to 11 destinations and will be launching these routes as and when the foreign operator permit process is approved,” comments Singh.
