THE Eastern Cape region of Langkloof - from Kareedouw to Uniondale - has launched its first formal tourism office, known as "Die Ark" (Afrikaans word meaning, the ark) and will soon release its first regional brochure.
Tourism officer, Marisa Muller, told Travel Now that the office works in conjunction with a number of the smaller tour operators in the region, assisting them with tours, bookings, marketing - "whatever their needs are".
Accommodation and tours to, amongst others, the Granor Passi Fruit Juice Factory and the Cheese Factory, can be booked through the office.
Die Ark also features a coffee shop and a crafts centre on its premises where tourists can purchase hand-made arts and crafts as well as local olives, cheese and fruit juice.
