EgyptAir plans to launch US flights next year

EgyptAir is waiting for approval from the US Department of Transportation for the launch of two long-haul routes to the US, to start in 2026.

The first flight will offer a direct connection between Cairo International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, starting in May 2026.

This will be followed by a direct flight from Cairo to Chicago O'Hare International Airport a month later, in June.

EgyptAir CEO, Ahmed Adel, told SimpleFlying that the airline planned to use its new A350-900s on the routes.
