Towards the end of next year, France is set to introduce multiple new train routes for international and domestic travellers.
SNCF, France’s national rail service, is preparing to launch three new slower budget-friendly trains to operate alongside its high-speed fleet.
The new routes for the low-speed SNCF trains include:
Paris-Bordeaux
The train will depart from Gare Montparnasse and arrive at Bordeaux Sant-Jean after a five-hour trip. It is planned to include stops at Juvisy, Les Aubrais, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Futuroscope, Poitiers, and Angoulême stations.
Paris-Rennes
The train will depart from Gare Montparnasse and arrive at Rennes station after a four-hour trip. It will pass through Massy-Palaiseau, Versailles, Chartres, Le Mans, and Laval.
Paris-Brussels
The three-hour Brussels route’s departure and arrival stations have not been confirmed. Stops proposed along this route are Creil and Aulnoye-Aymeries in France and Mons in Belgium, although these stops might change.
