Ha Long Bay to introduce tour boat plastic ban

A pilot project has been rolled out in Ha Long Bay to help rid the Unesco Heritage Site of plastic pollution from August 1, reports TravelMole.

The management board of Ha Long Bay said 15 tourist boat operators, kayaks and high-speed boats would remove plastic water bottles and replace them with refillable dispensers.

The operators will supply drinking glasses, and wet paper towels will be replaced with reusable cloth towels.
