The South African Travel and Tourism Summit will be held from October 14-15 at The Maslow hotel in Sandton, providing delegates with insights on developments in the local and international tourism landscape and provide a platform for them to influence the outcomes and action plans for the sector.
Organised under the auspices of the Tourism Business Council of SA and Gauteng Tourism, the inaugural Summit is intended as a national forum for debate.
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Tokozile Xasa, will deliver the keynote address based on the conference theme ‘The Value of the Traveller’. Thulani Nzima, ceo of SA Tourism will update delegates on the progress of SA Tourism’s destination marketing strategy and highlight key initiatives. Dion Chang, ceo of Fluxtrends, will discuss key worldwide trends impacting on tourism.
Other speakers include Monwabisi Kalawe, ceo of SAA; Luke McKend, ceo of Google SA and Ross Kata, ceo of Expedia SA.
