Hertz secures 'chequered flag'

CAR RENTAL company Hertz Rent a Car South Africa's staggering six-fold increase in inbound tourism business is reportedly in line with the World Travel Organisation's (WTO) statistics indicating a strong 9% growth in the African market - with South Africa still remaining the continent's most popular destination.
Managing director, Simon Schiff, attributes Hertz' success in this division to improved facilities and upgraded service levels - with its newly revamped car rental parkade at Johannesburg International Airport greatly contributing to this.
"It is satisfying to report significant business increases but superlative service and continuing levels of outstanding quality are a never-ending quest that takes priority over everything else. The increasing market is good news for the industry - and for Hertz - but it remains imperative that all players meet client expectations," is Schiff's cautiously optimistic comment.
He stresses that companies are competing in the global market for tourists and therefore need to ensure world-class standards.
