Hotel takes a punch for a good cause

GUESTS at the 16th Annual Sandton Sun & Towers Intercontinental "Box & Dine" event to be held on September 21, will have the daunting task of equalling - or bettering - the awesome amount of R500 000 raised in aid of Hospice last year.
This year's event will honour Archbishop Desmond Tutu, himself a cancer survivor and a patron of Hospice South Africa.
Well-known South African celebrity and entertainer, Cyril Green, will play the role of auctioneer for the evening when he leads the bidding for one-of-a-kind memorabilia, including international rugby jerseys and memorabilia of the current South African Olympic team.
During the course of the evening, boxing bouts by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) amateur boxing team will take place in the Maroela Ballroom.
