Kenya Airways moves selected flights to JKIA unit 1

Kenya Airways will move some of its regional flights back to unit 1 of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi.
With effect from December 4, the airline’s flights KQ 410 (EBB), KQ 482 (DAR), KQ 760 (JNB) and KQ 762 (JNB) will return to unit 1.
The flights were relocated to unit 2 following a fire that destroyed a section of the airport two months ago.
Kenya Airways’ chief operating officer, Mbuvi Ngunze, said the relocation of operations and changes in the check-in counters for the four flights was expected to improve the quality of services and facilities for passengers. “Changes in check-in counters for these flights are aimed at helping us to better serve our customers by ensuring greater convenience and comfort,” Ngunze added.
Currently unit 2 handles all international departures while unit 3 handles the domestic departures and arrivals. All international arrivals are at the JKIA Parking Garage, which has been converted into a temporary arrival terminal.
