Kulula revs up capacity DUR-CPT

With the relaunch of a double-daily service between Cape Town and Durban, kulula.com says it has now fully restored its network to pre-COVID levels and has actually doubled capacity between Cape Town and Durban.

Desmond O’Connor, kulula.com Chief Commercial Officer, said the timings of the new services between the two cities were perfect for the Cape Town corporate market, and provided flexibility for SME and leisure passengers who might choose to fly either at peak or off-peak times.

Daily Cape Town-Durban flight times:

CPT-DUR operates at 07h00 and 11h45

DUR-CPT operates at 13h20 and 18h25

The airline says the additional capacity meets the expected high demand over the December festive season break.  “This is a highly popular route, particularly over weekends and school holidays. Currently we have over 10 000 passengers booked in November and over 3 000 for December already. And members of partner programmes can now fly kulula.com on the full network,” said O’Connor.

The LCC’s branded fares offer a range of options:

Fly Light: A hop-on, hop-off option with no checked baggage, only hand-luggage, offering the best possible fares. A R299 change of booking fee applies.

Pack & Go: An all-round option including one piece of checked luggage up to 20kg and two free booking changes.

Fully Loaded: A fully flexible option allowing unlimited booking changes, two checked-in bags and Q-Jump to speed-up check-in procedures.

“For our taller kulula.com fans, Stretch Zone seats are available for passengers needing extra leg-room,” said O’Connor. Q-Jump for priority boarding was also a favourite, he said.
