TO commemorate the Battle of Scheepersnek in Vryheid, KwaZulu Natal during the Anglo-Boer War (1899 to 1902), the town will be holding a Battlefields Bazaar at the site of the famous battle on May 20.
Approximately 100 stands will be selling traditional or hand-made items such as leather goods, milktart, Battlefields port, mampoer (home-made alcoholic brew) and rusks.
Historical talks and tours will also be conducted on the battlefield site located on the Dundee road at the Strathcona farm, 16 kilometres from Vryheid.
