The National Health Laboratory Service is operating a mobile COVID-19 test unit from a Mercedes van in the pause area in the international arrivals hall at Cape Town International Airport.
The operating hours are from 10h00-18h00 daily, and appointments are not required. PCR tests are done at a cost of R600, and both cash and cards may be used (except American Express). The results are available in 45 minutes and an SMS is sent, after which the certificate can be collected.
