&Beyond has shared an Instagram post informing its followers that two green sea turtles have been recorded nesting on Mnemba Island, Zanzibar, in the past two weeks.
In an exciting moment for turtle monitors and guests, the turtles came ashore to nest during the early-morning hours.
The island is a crucial nesting site for the turtles and in 2019, 123 nests were recorded. Turtle monitors hope that this year will bring another productive nesting season.
