MSC Cruises has opened sales for its 2021 World Cruise. The MSC Poesia will sail on a 119-day journey around the globe, departing on January 5, 2021.

The 118-night voyage starts in Genoa and calls at Civitavecchia, Marseille and Barcelona before crossing the Atlantic to the islands of the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal. It then follows the west coast to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Mexico to San Francisco.

The second leg visits Maui in Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, Auckland, Sydney and the Australian Gold Coast, and on to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines. It then arrives in Japan during cherry blossom season.

After visiting Kyoto, Tokyo and Shanghai, the third leg visits Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia. Finally, it crosses the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka and Dubai followed by Oman and Jordan (Petra) through the Suez Canal, back to the Mediterranean.

Features on the ship include an authentic Japanese sushi bar, an MSC Aurea Spa wellness centre with steam room, sauna and massage therapy services. There is also a basketball and tennis court, shuffleboard, state-of-the-art gym, mini golf area, three swimming pools, four whirlpools and a giant poolside cinema screen. Guests will also be able to explore each destination, and enjoy activities such as beach visits in Hawaii, snorkelling in Jordan and a visit to the Taronga Zoo in Australia.
