Mthatha route revs up

AIRLINK and SA Express

(SAX) have both

increased frequencies to

Mthatha. This follows the

resumption of flights to

the Eastern Cape town

after the SA Civil Aviation

Authority declared the

airport safe following its

initial downgrade of the

facility in late January.

Airlink has reintroduced

its third flight between

Johannesburg and

Mthatha, operating on

weekdays. The flight

departs Johannesburg at

12h00, arriving in Mthatha

at 13h15.

The return flight departs

at 13h35, arriving in

Johannesburg at 14h50.

Operations began on

March 7.

SAX added a second

daily flight from February

25. The flight departs

Johannesburg at 06h00,

arriving in Mthatha at

07h30. The return flight

departs Mthatha at 08h10,

arriving in Johannesburg at
