THE new board of directors of the Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) was announced last week at an official inauguration ceremony held in Rosebank.
MEC for Finance and Economic Affairs, Jabu Moleketi, performed the inauguration and appointed Zukile Nomvete as chairman.
Other members are: Carlos Correira, Tshepo Kgadima, Lindiwe Gadd, Patricia Lion-Cachet, Brian Magqaza, Pelham Jones, Jenny Briscoe, Rory Mackey, Khule Chitepo, Busi Nkosi, Isaac Mahlangu and Zulker Moolla.
"I see a bright future for tourism in Gauteng and look forward to working with the industry to position Gauteng as a primary destination for business, pleasure and leisure," says Nomvete.
According to ceo of the GTA, Sylvan Golden, the organisation is focusing on the development of information provision tools and the establishment of marketing partnerships involving all the key industry stakeholders in Gauteng.
