Kenya Airports Authority has converted the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) parking garage into a temporary international arrivals area, replacing the tented facility.

It will be a temporary measure for the next few months, while another temporary international arrivals area is being built to be used until a permanent area is eventually constructed.
The temporary facility can handle 8 500 international passengers a day, the average number arriving at the airport.

The airports authority has also reopened the international departures unit, Unit 2, from which all KQ flights operate.
