Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) has seen a recent surge in lounge activity, with Aspire and the oneWorld alliance opening new offerings for premium passengers.

OneWorld has opened its first continental European lounge at Schiphol. This follows the debut of its first branded lounge in Seoul. The Amsterdam lounge occupies the space previously used by British Airways in the airport’s non-Schengen departure area.

Spanning over 473 sqm, the lounge boasts a spacious and contemporary design with subtle nods to Amsterdam’s iconic architecture, most notably through its lighting fixtures inspired by the city’s canal bridges. The lounge amenities include a buffet, private shower facilities and a full-service bar.

Aspire, the lounge subsidiary of Swissport, also unveiled the revamped Aspire lounge in the non-Schengen area. The design of the lounge is inspired by the basalt stones of the Dutch dikes and features workspace options as well as dedicated single seats for solo passengers. The lounge also offers passengers access to a botanical room, a tranquil retreat for relaxation.

Both lounges are located between gates D and E on the third floor of Schiphol. The oneWorld lounge is open daily from 05h30 until 22h00 and the Aspire lounge is open daily between 06h00 and 22h00.
