New Schengen visa form for Austria

24 Oct 2013 - by Tammy Sutherns

A new visa application form for Schengen visas for Austria will come into effect from November 1.
The new form is in line with the new Schengen Visa Codex, which came into effect in April 2010.
“Since then, the use of this updated form was supposed to be mandatory. Until now, we have accepted applications with the outdated forms as many travel agents still hand them out to their customers,” said a spokesperson at the Austrian Embassy in Pretoria.
“We are trying to make these travel agents aware that the new form has to be used to avoid applicants having to complete two forms and cause unnecessary inconvenience,” he adds.
Both the new and old forms can be found on www.travelinfo.co.za
