Norwegian Cruise Line will open a new waterpark on its private island, Great Stirrup Cay, in summer 2026.

The Great Tides Waterpark, nearly 2,5 hectares in size, will feature:

  • 19 waterslides, including the 50-metre Tidal Tower with eight slides. These include racing slides, tube slides and body slides. Some slides will have conveyer belts to lift the tubes and rafts to the top of the tower.
  • Cliffside Cove with two cliff jumps at three and four-and-a-half metres high as well as a family slide for up to four guests.
  • A kids’ splash zone with eight mini slides and interactive water features.
  • A 245-metre dynamic river, an immersive water experience with an illuminated bioluminescent tunnel.

Other features debuting on the island later this year include:

  • A new heated pool, new multi-ship pier and island-wide tram service.
  • The Great Life Lagoon will be complete with private ocean and pool view cabanas and villas and two swim-up bars.
  • Horizon Park, a new complimentary recreational area with lawn style games, pickleball courts, mini golf course, half a sports court and more.
  • Hammock Bay with over 50 hammocks and a dedicated bar.
  • Vibe Shore Club for adults only.
