The Capago visa centre officially opened its doors in La Lucia on January 15, giving KZN

residents the opportunity to apply for a French visa without going to Johannesburg. Capago

is responsible for collecting visa applications and biometric data, dispatching applications to

the consulate in Johannesburg and handing over passports to applicants. The office is shared

by France and Italy and is open from Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 17h00. Celebrating

the opening of the new premises are (from left): Paul Cabane, co-founder of Capago;

Raymond Quereilhac, French consul in Johannesburg; Marc Schmitt, honorary French

consul in Durban; and Hélène Bezuidenhoudt, Atout France manager.
