Qatar ups winter schedule to Africa

Qatar Airways has launched its winter schedule, upping flights to over 15 destinations and operating 35 weekly flights to Africa.

Flight frequencies have been increased on routes to the following African destinations:

  • Cape Town: from 10 weekly flights to up to 12
  • Johannesburg: from 14 weekly flights to 18
  • Casablanca: from four weekly flights to five

The carrier has also increased frequencies to destinations in the Middle East, Europe, North and South America and Asia, due to increased demand:

  • Abu Dhabi: from five daily flights to up to six
  • Sharjah: from three daily flights to up to seven
  • London Heathrow: from eight daily flights to up to 10
  • Manchester: from 21 weekly flights to up to 24
  • Dublin: from 14 weekly flights to 17
  • Berlin: from 18 weekly flights to up to 21
  • Frankfurt: from 18 weekly flights to up to 21
  • Madrid: from 14 weekly flights to 17
  • Toronto: from five weekly flights to seven
  • São Paulo: from 14 weekly flights to 18
  • Maldives: from three daily flights to up to four
  • Phuket: from three daily flights to up to four
  • Tokyo Narita: from 11 weekly flights to up to 14

More Australia flights

In partnership with Qatar Airways, Virgin Australia will launch flights from Melbourne to Doha, increasing frequency on the route to three daily flights.

Qatar Airways will also restart services to Canberra.
