BILLED as "the best rose show in the world", the Eastern Cape's annual Addo Rose Day will be held in the town of Addo - 45 kilometres outside Port Elizabeth and home to the world-famous Addo National Park - on the weekend of October 14 and 15.
The theme this year is 'Country Living' and promises visitors 25 000 rose blooms from 260 varieties, informative talks, beer and tea tents and arts and crafts stalls.
A special "Rose Train" will be on hand to transport tourists from Port Elizabeth to Addo.
