From June 1, The Royal Portfolio will open Masiya’s Camp, its latest tented lodge within Royal Malewane in the Greater Kruger region.

The camp is named in honour of Wilson Masiya, a master tracker who played a foundational role in shaping Royal Malewane’s guiding legacy. The new property features six canvas-draped luxury tented suites, each spanning 100 square metres with a private heated plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers, and outdoor decks and lounge area overlooking the surrounding bushveld.

Guests have access to twice-daily game drives, guided bush walks, photographic safaris and wellness treatments at Royal Waters Spa, located nearby at Malewane Lodge. Masiya’s Camp also offers several conservation-focused experiences, such as rhino dehorning and wild dog monitoring, depending on availability. Excursions include helicopter flights over the Blyde River Canyon, golf at Leopard Creek, and visits to the Timbavati Museum and the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.

The communal spaces include a central heated swimming pool, a dining area with an interactive kitchen and pizza oven and a lounge tent with glass doors that open onto the bush.

The guiding team is among the most qualified in Africa with Royal Malewane home to two of only 11 master trackers in the world.

Children aged 10 and above are welcome and the camp is accessible via road transfer from Hoedspruit Airport or private air charter to the Royal Malewane airstrip.

Masiya’s Camp joins Royal Malewane’s portfolio of luxury lodges in the Greater Kruger and marks continued expansion of its high-end safari offering.
