RwandAir has partnered with Wirecard AG, an online card payment processing service.
Wirecard, which is one of the leading specialists for payment processing and issuing services, will enable customers who wish to book their flights online with RwandAir to pay with Visa, MasterCard, Diners/Discover, JCB, China UnionPay or Maestro cards.
The partnership comes at a time when the airline is expanding its route network.
Last year, RwandAir acquired a new Airbus A330 in a three-class configuration and a Boeing 737-800NG equipped with inflight connectivity on a line-fit programme.
Last week, the airline announced that flights to Harare and Mumbai would commence on April 1 and April 3 respectively.
The flights to Harare, which will be tagged to the existing Lusaka route, will operate daily, while the Mumbai flights will operate non-stop four times a week.
The two new destinations will bring RwandAir’s operational destinations to 21.
This year, RwandAir will launch more destinations, including long-haul flights to London and New York.
