SAA has warned travellers of a social media scam claiming to offer discounted fares.
In a post on social media platform X, the airline said it had been alerted to a scam targeting individuals on WhatsApp.
Scammers impersonating SAA are offering discounted tickets with payment links in order to steal money from victims who attempt to book the flight.
“Please be aware that these offers are not associated with our airline,” SAA posted. “For safety and security, always verify information through our official channels. If you need assistance or clarification, please contact us directly.”
