SANP policy changes more consumer friendly

SOUTH African National Parks has amended its policy on deposits and pensioners' discounts with immediate effect, resulting in a more lenient approach to both.
Contrary to the old policy, which required full payment within 30 days of booking, the new policy requires that 33% of the amount is payable within that same period of time and the balance is due within 30 days prior to the arrival date.
However, the rules for cancellations remain unchanged and are as follows: 31 days before visit - full refund; 30 to 15 days before visit - 75% refund; 14 to 7 days before visit - 50% refund and less than seven days before visit - no refund.
A R50 processing fee will be charged for all cancellations.
Furthermore, the policy regarding bookings to Satara, Skukuza and Lower Sabie restcamps in the Kruger National Park has also been revised and pensioners are now welcome to book these camps, except weekends, school holidays and public holidays.
