Former ceo of SA Express, Siza Mzimela, has been appointed an executive at Transnet, according to an internal memo to staff obtained by Business Maverick.

This comes shortly after the announcement that the head of embattled SAX had resigned from her post as ceo on March 30.

According to the memo, Transnet has appointed Siza as chief executive of Transnet Freight Rail, the largest division of the company, effective April 1.

Transnet has not yet made a public announcement regarding the appointment.
