Skip airport queues for R900

Manchester Airport has revealed plans to open a private terminal, called PremiAir.

The company claims that the terminal will offer passengers a private jet experience while flying on commercial flights. The experience will be available to passengers in all classes of travel, with prices starting at £50 (R900).

For that, passengers receive a range of special services that include: a personalised welcome, faster baggage processing, a lounge with complimentary food and drink, and a dedicated security channel. Passengers will also be driven straight to the aircraft in a private car transfer.

Passengers returning to Manchester will also be able to use PremiAir, either as part of a round-trip or as a stand-alone service, and will have a direct transfer from the aircraft as well as use of a dedicated passport control service. Lounge access will be available, and luggage will be returned to the passenger personally.

Construction is under way at the site with the facility due to open later this year. Andrew Harrison, CEO, Airport Services, at the Manchester Airport Group, indicated that there were plans in place to assess the possibility of introducing PremiAir at other airports.
