to an end, with full services resuming on Wednesday, August 15, once the
operational schedule has been updated.

tab-stops:36.0pt">The strike followed a deadlock in wage negotiations
between Bombela Operating Company and the United National Transport Union
(UNTU). UNTU has since accepted an across the board increase of 8% to all
employees in the bargaining unit, a statement confirmed.
tab-stops:36.0pt">“We thank our passengers for their patience and
understanding during this time,” the statement continued. “We can also confirm
that passengers who have been unable to utilise their weekly or monthly train
products as a result of the strike will be compensated for unused trips and no
admin fee will be applied.”
