Royal Caribbean will introduce its first at-sea production of The SpongeBob Musical aboard Hero of the Seas when the ship begins sailing from Miami in August 2027.
The production will take place in the Royal Theater aboard the line’s fourth Icon Class ship. Adapted from the Nickelodeon animated series and Broadway show, it follows SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom friends as they race to save their town from destruction.
Hero of the Seas will operate seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami, all calling at Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas. Other destinations will include Cozumel, Mexico; Roatán, Honduras; Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas; and Philipsburg, St Maarten.
