Surf’s up for Sun City daytrippers

Sun City Resort in the North West province has reopened for day visitors for midweek sales, Monday to Friday, starting March 8.

Tickets are limited per day and can only be purchased online (not at the gate) to control numbers.

This is also limited to weekdays when numbers at the resort are lower, compared with weekends with resort guest bookings. The daily allowance will adhere to COVID-19 level 1 health and safety protocols.

Day visitors can discover the thrills at the Valley of Waves, or get lost in the Maze of the Lost City.

For the adrenaline junkies, the two slides, the Tarantula and the Scorpion; and two tube rides, the Viper and the Mamba are popular options. The legendary Roaring Lagoon at the Valley of Waves is the undisputed main attraction at Sun City’s famous water park where, every 90 seconds, bender waves rise two metres in the air.

The Chimp & Zee Rope Adventure Park course is another popular activity.

Packages available at a cost of R290 per child, aged 3-12 years and R395 per adult. Tickets include entry to Sun City, entry to the Valley of Waves and a meal voucher.
