TAAG Angola Airlines has announced the gradual resumption of its international flight operations.

From early October, the carrier will resume flights to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Windhoek and Maputo.

Below is a summary of the new schedule from Luanda, with the start date:

  • Johannesburg on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays – October 5
  • Cape Town on Thursdays and Sundays – October 14
  • Maputo on Tuesdays and Saturdays – October 16
  • Windhoek on Mondays and Thursdays – October 21

"There can be no doubt that the COVID-19 epidemic dealt the airline industry a heavy blow," said TAAG Regional GM: Southern Africa, Gregory Epps.

"We are thrilled to see the gradual return of TAAG's flights from key destinations and we look forward to welcoming our passengers back on board.” He added that several more flights would be progressively introduced, including services to Lagos, São Paulo and Lisbon.
