Tourists swim with the sharks

14 Jun 2000 - by Dave Marsh

TOURISTS are invited to see Cape Town's Two Oceans Aquarium from a fish's-eye view by swimming freely alongside ragged tooth sharks, turtles and rays.
Based at the popular Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Two Oceans has introduced a number of aquarium activities to draw tourists during its low season.
As part of this, scuba divers are given the unique opportunity to dive with the sharks in the I&J predator exhibit, entitled 'Fangs' or feed the fishes in the Kelp Forest Exhibit.
Participants must be in possession of a diver/scuba certificate and supply their own gear. A cylinder will be provided at the aquarium.
The promotion will continue until March 2001.
