Upgrades for two A&K lodges next year

Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) is to renovate two of its Sanctuary Retreats properties in Botswana and Uganda in 2025.

The Gorilla Forest Camp in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest will be renamed Gorilla Forest Lodge. The 10 suites will be expanded and fitted with floor-to-ceiling windows and verandas. Design elements include clay-look, textured-plaster walls, woven banana leaf ceilings and elongated framed vistas.

Baines' Lodge in Botswana’s Okavango Delta will upgrade its six suites to include extended private decks, outdoor bathtubs and daybeds.

Both properties will reopen after renovations in mid-2025.

They both fall under A&K's Sanctuary Retreats subsidiary, which owns and operates 12 luxury safari camps and lodges across Eastern and Southern Africa and four riverboats in Egypt.
