Virgin Atlantic re-launched its direct flights between Cape Town and London Heathrow on November 5, not a moment too soon for the hordes of December holidaymakers wanting to travel in both directions between the two points.
Liezl Gericke, Virgin’s Head: Africa, Middle East and India, talks to Travel News about the flights, which are, she says, full to the brim, mostly with inbound British holidaymakers. But the airline’s Upper Class and Premium business out of the SA market is trending upwards, too. The new service will operate daily until late March 2023.
