Durban agency, XL City of Choice Travel held a workshop, “Explore the World with Us,” last month at the vibrant Riverside Conference Centre. The workshop brought together travel enthusiasts, industry professionals, and curious explorers for a day filled with inspiration and practical insights.

CEO Brenda Roopai greeted guests and emphasised that travel is more than visiting new places, it is also a means to grow personally and connect with different cultures.

Attendees were treated to a series of interactive sessions led by experts and designed to cater to various interests and expertise levels. The day’s agenda included information on travel planning essentials (a practical guide to crafting the perfect itinerary, balancing adventure with relaxation, and avoiding common pitfalls), plus a focus on sustainable tourism - insights into minimising environmental impact and supporting local communities during travel.

Sessions on eco-friendly practices and ethical tourism highlighted how travellers can make a positive impact on the environment and local cultures. The workshop concluded with a collective commitment to being more conscious travellers.

Participants spent the day mingling with fellow travel enthusiasts and industry professionals.
